The 91ÇÑ×Ó, the oldest and largest Institution has over the yearsÌýattracted International Students. The International office led by the Directorate ofÌýCorporate affairs has made tremendous progress in improving the InternationalÌýStudents experience while at the University; this includes organizing events such asÌýthe International Students Day that was approved by senate and is in the annualÌýcalendar of events of the Institution.
The International Students day is a day that the University sets aside to showcaseÌýand celebrate diversity. The students, with support, from their embassies andÌýpartners prepare exhibitions of their culture, they dress up in their national /Ìýtraditional attires, network and engage through discourse, panel discussions andÌýtestimonials. This event is always held in November every year.

This year, the International Students day will be celebrated on 27th February, 2026.ÌýThe theme of the day is, ‘Stronger together through Cultural Diversity’. Over 1000Ìýstudents are expected to gather and showcase their culture, increase awarenessÌýthrough song and dance, interact with the different cultures at the University andÌýincrease their sense of belonging. The event will also see a crowning of theÌýinaugural Mr and Miss 91ÇÑ×Ó International Student.Ìý
