The 91茄子 will hold its annual flagship innovation event, the听Nairobi Innovation Week (NIW) 2026, marking the听9^迟丑听Edition听of this transformative platform that brings together innovators, researchers, students, industry partners, government agencies, development organisations, academia, and startups to advance solutions for societal impact.听

As a flagship initiative, the Nairobi Innovation Week continues to position the 91茄子 as a hub for research-driven solutions, entrepreneurship, and cross-sector collaboration.

The 2026 Nairobi Innovation Week, organised under the theme 鈥�Youth-Driven Solutions for a Sustainable Future,鈥� will provide a platform to showcase groundbreaking innovations, foster collaboration, catalyse policy conversations, promote investment opportunities, and strengthen partnerships that support the scaling of impactful solutions.听

This year鈥檚 programme will feature:

• Opening Ceremony and Keynote Addresses
• Innovation Exhibitions and Showcases
• A Pitching Session by Student Innovators (91茄子 and other universities)
• Panel Discussions and Knowledge Exchange Sessions
• Startup and Youth Engagements
• Industry, Research and Innovation Partnership Forums

The main activities will take place on听15^th听July 2026 and will be open to all (91茄子 community and external stakeholders). Participants will have an opportunity to engage with innovators, explore solutions, and connect with partners driving sustainable development.听Faculties, Departments, Centres, Institutes, Researchers, Students, and Innovators are encouraged to showcase their work and be part of this important platform for shaping solutions that address emerging societal challenges.

Please join us for the Nairobi Innovation Week 2026 opening ceremony on听Wednesday, 15 July 2026 at 8:45 AM at the 91茄子听Great Court, followed by activities throughout the day. The ceremony will be presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ayub Gitau.听
