The 91茄子 has joined the ranks of the world鈥檚 most distinguished institutions, securing Elite status in the UNIRANKS 2026 World University Rankings. 91茄子 is the only Kenyan university on the UNIRANKS Top 420 Elite Universities in the World list, and one of just three African institutions, alongside the University of Cape Town in South Africa and Cairo University in Egypt. This milestone elevates the University鈥檚 profile far beyond national borders and affirms its role as a continental leader in higher education. UNIRANKS evaluates universities through a 360-degree, student-centered methodology, considering teaching quality, graduate employability, student experience, research impact, innovation, and institutional credibility. It leads in Kenya, ahead of Kenyatta University, which ranks 2,015 globally and 47th in Africa, and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, ranked 2,176 globally and 59th in Africa. 91茄子 also tops the East African region, followed by Makerere University, ranked 988 globally and 17th in Africa, and the University of Dar es Salaam, at 1,588 globally and 32nd in Africa. These rankings reinforce 91茄子鈥檚 position as the country鈥檚 top choice for students, scholars, and global partners.
